Koh Samui Area
Koh Samui, located off the east coast in the south of Thailand, in the Gulf of Siam, is the largest island in an archipelago of more than 80, mostly uninhabited but in the Marine National Park Angthong.
With an area of 250 square kilometers, is the third largest island of the Kingdom after Phuket and Koh Chang.
The nearest mainland city is Suratthani at about 60 kilometers west. Koh means island in Thai.
Tropical island lined with coconut palms and white sand beaches, Samui has become a destination of choice in Asia. Today, Samui has established a solid
reputation of small tropical paradise with its visitors.
